My, thank you richarde1979, ladyhawk and ebch, for all the time you must have put into this for me, I cannot say how grateful I am. At last I feel I am getting somewhere with my ancestor's. I will certainly keep you informed as to how I get on in the future.
Again thank you all.

Hi,

Don't know if anyone is still looking at this family but I believe I am related to the Jane Hannah Lovell who married Henry Cook Biggs in 1836.

I am quite confused by this family (as it seems everyone is!).

I have traced Henry & Jane in the 1841 census, living in Globe Rd,Bethnal Green with daughters,Jane, aged 2 & Maria, aged 1 but then have been unable to trace them in 1851. Daughter Jane must surely be the Jane Elizabeth Biggs born 27/01/1839 & christened 31/05/1840 to Henry & Jane.

In 1861 the family reappear - Henry is recorded as a Cattle Dealer - living at 2,Wellington St,Bethnal Green but they now they have sons,Frederick, aged 21 - born 1839/1840 & Henry, aged 4,as well as daughters,Mary Ann,(possibly the Maria in 1841???),aged 20,Catherine,aged 13 & Jane, aged 7. What has confused me is that if Frederick was born in about 1839/1840 where was he in 1841? It is possible that his name was recorded as Jane in error in 1841 but then who was the Jane Elizabeth born in 1839 to Henry & Jane???

In 1871 the family are living at 26,Middleton St,Bethnal Green with daughter,Catherine,aged 18 & son,Henry,aged 14.

Any help gratefully received.

Regards
