King and Livingstone in Tranent, pre 1845
« on: Monday 18 October 10 18:41 BST (UK) »
Hullo! I have already found some wonderfully useful information digging through here - someone posted death dates for three members of my family tree in response to someone else looking for information a while back.

I am hoping someone might be able to assist me directly, however. I am looking for a bit more information on a few people.
Here is what I have so far - I am of course not asking for information for all of them, I am primarily interested in further details on John King, Anne Livingstone, their son Robert and his wife Marion. However if you do have information on the other children in an easily sharable format, I rather enjoy being able to fill things out as much as possible.

John King married Anne Livingstone in Tranent, 14 Oct 1803 - I could find no confirmable parent names or birth dates at the IGI (I did find some potential matches, however.).
Their children, all born in Tranent:
Anne, b 07 Jul 1806
Andrew, b 11 Nov 1808
William, b 04 Sep 1814
Charles Henderson, b 6 Oct 1816
George Cunningham, b 6 Oct 1816
Robert, b 6 Aug 1818
John, b 10 Jun 1821

Two possible other children born in Tranent, however the mother is listed as Ann Livingstone rather than Anne:
Rebecca, b 2 Oct 1810
John, b 23 Dec 1804

Robert, son of John and Anne, married Marion King on 10 Dec 1841. I have no parent information, concrete birth date, or other last name for Marion (though I suppose it could have been King originally!)
Robert, b 6 Aug 1818, d 24 Feb 1872
Marion, b 1820?, d 27 Mar 1882

Their children, all born in Tranent:
Andrew, b 19 Oct 1844
John, b 1845
Robert, b 08 Jan 1847
Jane, b 05 Jun 1849
James, b 1852
Anne, b 18 Aug 1856
Elizabeth, b 08 Mar 1862, d 27 Oct 1684

Robert, son of Robert and Marion married Janet Blair in 1870 - however that was in Midlothian, so I'll seek further information on Janet over on that subforum.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to offer! I love doing this detective work, however as I'm still a quasi-beginner, I'm more comfortable and familiar with North American records. I have a small amount of sourced North American information for the John -> Robert -> Robert -> Andrew King (born in Canada) descendants, if anyone is looking for that sort of thing.
