Judith,
Good point, but the information I have is pointing more towards the Bridget who died in 1877 and born in 1797 despite the age.
I was originally following up on Catherine Hayes only and had the relevant certificates when I found another person looking at the same tree ie, Catherine Hayes marrying Adam Young at Smythesdale in 1862. Yesterday I received some papers which had details of the Hayes family and this is when I found out that Catherine's mother Bridget Hayes had migrated to Australia and I was given her maiden name as Quigley and being born in 1797 in Tipperary.
With this knowledge I has decided to look at Bridget as well as her daughter Catherine plus the other children who came out including.
Edward Hayes who married Mary McGrath
Matthew Hayes who married Catherine Bourke
Michael Hayes who married Margaret McGrath
Margaret Hays who married Thomas Hayes
I would expect the marriages would have been in Victoria.
From the list of siblings to Bridget and John Young she would have been having children up until about 51!
The list of the children give were
Mary Hayes b 1825
Edward Hayes B 1827 To Vic
Thomas Hayes b 1829
Matthew Hays B 1831 To Vic
Honora Hayes B 1833
Michael Hayes B 1835 To Vic
Bridget Hayes B 1837
Catherine Hayes B 1839 To Vic
Judith Hayes B 18421
Margaret Hayes B 1844 To Vic
Edward, Matthew and Michael were 3 sons who reportedy came out to Victoria, Catherine, Margaret and their mother Bridget Quigly also reportedly came out as well
