Hi Peter
Had a look through hundreds of Leightons for you, did find a few things.
Peter Leighton, born 1789 Howden, married Elizabeth Turpin
at St Marys Kingston upon Hull on 3rd January 1811
His parents were Thomas and Dorathy Nixon who married on
19th December 1775 at Howden.
They had a few children
Peggy born 6th March 1787 christened 29th June 1787
Hannah born 1789 chris 19th July 1789
Thomas born 27th July 1791 chris 27th December 1791
Elizabeth born 10th August 1794 c 21st November 1794
I cant understand why Peters full date of birth has not been added
when all the other childrens have. I can only think some scribe has
not written it down prooperly. Also if he was born 1789 it makes him and Hannah twins.
Just wondered if he wasnt a twin whether he was called Thomas and was born in 1791 and he changed his name as he got older not wanting his Fathers name?
Just a few thoughts for you
Hope this is OK
