Hames

I am trying to link various Hames in Leicestershire during the 1600s up to around 1680. My records take me back to a Samuel Hames who married in 1682 in Aylestone but who resided in Coventry. It is my belief that he was born in Leicestershire but I doubt whether it was in Aylestone as there is next to no records of Hames in this parish prior to 1682. I have also discounted Coventry as his place of birth as I can't find any records of Hames prior to around 1670.

There are quite a few entries of Hames in several Leicestershire villages during the 1600s. So my question is has anyone done research on Hames in Leicestershire in the 1600s with possible links to Aylestone or even Coventry?

Thanks.
