1841 Census - Wickwar - POULTON
« on: Saturday 09 April 05 15:32 BST (UK) »
Could I please request a lookup for the following couple in the 1841 census for Wickwar:

Thomas Edward POULTON aged 20
Ann POULTON (nee PRICE) aged 25

They were married in Wickwar in 1840, and Ann was believed to have been born there.

Many thanks,

Marc Roberts

Hi,

My name is Naomi Sands. I live in the Bahamas. My father was from England. His name was Edward Hayling. His mother (my Grandmother)was Olive Hayling (Nee: Poulton). Her father (my G.Grandfather) was James Henry Poulton born in Nympsfield on March 10th, 1872. His father (my G.G.Grandfather) was Edward Poulton. Edward Poulton married Mary Ann Chandler. They are shown in the 1881 census for Uley as living at Crawley Hill. At that time the census only shows Mary (Head of the family) so maybe Edward had passed away by that time. They had 4 children shown on that census-- Augusta, James,Elizabeth and Emily. I have no idea who any of the ancestors were before then. I'd love to know if my Poulton's are related to your Poulton's.
