Lauraine - Welcome to Roots

You have posted your request in the wrong place, it needs its own thread.  Perhaps a moderator will move it for you to a more appropriate forum.

Hi Lauraine

I have moved your topic to 'beginners'.

You may have to provide some more information or tell us specifically what information you are trying to find your opening post is a bit vague.

Hi Lauraine  :)

According to the "Convicts' Permission to Marry" which was granted 4 May 1839:

Charles MUNN, aged 28, ship "Waterloo", Free emigrant
Bridget MANNING alias MADDEN, aged 24, ship "Numa, sentence 7 years, on Ticket of Leave.

According to a list at NSW State Records, there were five Waterloos arriving into Sydney prior to 1839:
- 1829
- 1831
- 1833
- 1836
- 1838

Hope that helps :)

Cheers
Prue
