Latin probate
« on: Tuesday 26 October 10 19:56 BST (UK) »
Several people have asked for copies/sight of the general form of Latin probate. These differ little in their wording, often the only variance being in the name of the person, clergy or judge granting the probate. A copy of the general form together with translation is posted here.

One caveat that I should have included is that this is late Medieval or early Modern Legal/Church Latin, a very different animal I believe from classical Latin, so those who are learning classical Latin should proceed with care "caveat emptor" I think is the term?

Please do! That was my intention when I made the posting, so if possible i would be grateful if the moderator would keep this thread prominent to assist people needing a Latin probatim transcript.
