« on: Saturday 30 October 10 11:02 BST (UK) »

my father had a camera that took negatives a postcard size an I tried to get them  printed over the years as they were taken of the family in the 20s

A friend has shown me how to do it on my computer and its great to see the ancestors if anyone wants to know how will be pleased to tell them

as any size negative can be printed   Barbara

hello things you need are a light box its a box with a bulb in and a frosted glass in the top  a digital camera and a PC

Take a photo  of the negatives on macro

then down load on to your PC
my program is paint shop pro 7

find on the top  negative and click on it and up comes you photo

it could be blue  click on Gery scale and you have a photo to play with

Hi.
I found that if you place the negative face down on a flatbed scanner,  then place a sheet of printer paper over it you can then scan it as you would a print. Then reverse it in Photoshop, or something similar, and produce a positive image. Works for me.
