WIilliam PRINGLE - Printer in Kelso
« on: Saturday 30 October 10 13:54 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Is anyone able to look up Kelso MIs for the name Pringle?

I am looking specifically for William Pringle:
In 1831 he married Jessie/Janet Bell, born 1813, from Inveresk at Kelso and was a compositor for the Kelso Mail until 1836.  I have traced his wife and daughter, Jessie Kerr Pringle (born 1832 -35 in Kelso) but have no further information on William, so presume he died about 1836.

The 1841 census shows a Thomas Pringle, aged 29, a printer's journeyman, born in Roxburghshire, living at the Horsemarket in Kelso who may be related in some way.

Regards,

brigau

Hi Lesley,

It was a very long shot as I don't have much to go on.  Thank you for looking anyway.

They do have very relaxed eagles in Edinburgh, don't they ;). Not that it's a problem, there's plenty to do this time of year.

best wishes,

Frances
