Don't wish to interfere, but has anyone looked on the1939 register. At least it would give dated of birth & possibly chldren.

Matches her death certificate

But her husband is born 1908 which is why she has probably claimed the 5 year gap rather than the actual 12 year gap
He was born in 1901 but even so, I don't think it was the done thing to be older than your husband :)

.ive put this story aside to read later .
Read 1st and last  page .looks like 1 for " history mysteries "

It is the era im investigating for t"fostered "babies
 passed off as bitrh babies
But missing birth certs or dna not matching

It would be great to find one of the midsing bBies

But you found solution
