Hi,
These entries are from the BVRI but do not give the normal information I'm afraid. It looks as though they may be yours. Samuels age is out from the data you quoted. Confirmation of this would verify this info if you think you know which parish to search.
Also found some Tottles. Hope this may help. Frances

What is the BVRI?

Anyway, thanks for the information you have posted.
It would appear obvious that Samuel's age has either been entered incorrectly on the 1851 census or has been transposed incorrectly.

I have him on the GRO as having died in Mch qtr 1873 at age 39. This means he was born 1833/4. This therefore ties in with you information.

Can you supply parishes as well? And can you supply marriages and deaths? Or can you direct me accordingly.

All of the information has been of tremendous help.

My sincere thanks to you.

I am sorry normally the parish/area is given it is very unusual not to have it entered. By your posting I would think Wellington does seem likely. I do not know if their Parish Records have been transcribed. Maybe someone local will see this and be able to tell you.
The BVRI stands for the British Vital Records Index, (incomplete) it contains births/christenings and some marriages. I could not find any that ties in with your data, sorry.
Regards, Frances

Sorry I meant to say that it might be a good idea to look for the local Family History Society. Frances
