Hastings Cemetery - look-up request - Chadwick
« on: Saturday 06 November 10 16:27 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I am looking for burial records, gravemarkers, photos, etc. for a few people who died in St. Leonards-on-the Sea, Hastings, Sussex.

Jane (nee Wood) Chadwick died 13 June 1867 according to her probate.  Age 43.  She was born in Derbyshire.  According to her probate she had lived at 4 Warrior Square Terrace, St. Leonards-on-the-Sea.

Her son Arthur Reginald Syers Chadwick died April 1867.  Age 3.

Jane's husband, William Chadwick, may have died in Hastings or Lambeth.  I have not confirmed his death date and place yet.  He was born abt. 1812.

Before living in Hastings the family lived in Lambeth, Surrey for many years.

Any information would be helpful and appreciated.

Thank you.
Saunders, Sanderson, Hodgson, Bealby, Ashby, Chadwick, Wood, Tomlinson, Crispin, Crowley, Stiles, Longhurst, Wrencher, Solway, and many more.

hi longchuck

Welcome to Rootchat and especially the sussex boards

Have checked my Hastings databases for your Chadwick ancestors and at the moment can only find one of them as follows:

Hastings Cemetery Burial register.
CHADWICK Arthur R Syers, Aged 3, of St Mary Magdalen Parish, buried on the 6th April 1867 in Hastings Cemetery - Grave No A-H-D23

At the moment there is no sign of either Jane or William, but will keep looking
