Hi roy

You  said rose the daughter went by surname king.. What i have she came from mayfield. Than i have her living at Adeliaide road croydon name Rosina norman  7 months instead of surname king.

I think you and I are at crossed purposes somewhere, not surprising considering the family have 3 generations of Roses.  So recapping what has gone before:
The 1901 Croydon census has:
George Potter    head  m   50   flower ?      Brighton Sussex
Rosetta              wife    m   47     do            Whitey? surrey
Alfred                  son     s     21    do           Brighton sussex
Rose                   dau      s    18 laundress   mayfield sussex
Rosina                g.dau   7m                         croydon surrey

Rose the daughter above (born Mayfield) looks to have married Joseph James King in Croydon in 1901.
Rose the daughter above (born Mayfield) then appears on the 1911 Croydon census as Mrs Rose King.

Are you saying your transcript of 19 Adelaide Street on the 1901 census has Rosina the grand daughter as Rosina Norman, but the Norman surname has been missed off the above entry?  My index differs, because it has her as Rosina Potter.
Whatever, it looks highly probable that the grand daughter Rosina would have been the illegitimate child of Rose from Mayfield.  Furthermore, Rosina may not have been fathered by the person Rose from Mayfield chose to marry, but could have been fathered by someone else.  But the 'Norman' surname seems to have come from a false lead that also gave you an incorrect birth year for Alfred.
