Merrills of Utah & Calif
« on: Monday 08 November 10 21:49 GMT (UK) »
I have a branch of the Merrill Family - they went to Salt Lake City Utah

John Booth Merrill married there and his family later moved to Canada. But I want to concentrate here on :

His brother Frederick Merrill emigrated in 1890 and married Phoebe Evaline Brown in 1897 Salt Lake City. Fred was buried in 1949 at San Carlos CALIFORNIA.

Frederick and Phoebe are known to have had:

Foster Brown Merrill b.1898 Lehi Utah married Leona Coates

Josephine  b.1900 Lehi married Raymond Frank Strong

Frederick Leland b.1901 Lehi married Susan Bennion

Evelyn  b.1908 married P. Green Taylor

Elizabeth b.1909 married Herbert Jogan

John Paul married Marie Girglieri

Louise married Clifford Johnson

and Keith Whiley married Dolores Naylor.

in most cases I have details of births and marriages - Im looking for possible later locations and descendants - thanks

oh wow - thank you - my only resource was a very old family tree drawn up by someone in the family, many years ago, some of which Ive been able to verify and others not. Im very glad of this info - its been a search of over 20 years. :)

It does fit despite first glance as Leonas middle name was Melissa

PS I should add this info is invaluable as it lends credence to the theory that they may all have re-located to California. Ty X

many more thanks - yea I think you are right if he was 29 then an 18 yr old son is unlikely.
