US Army in N.Ireland WW2

Can anyone tell me how to find out which US Army units were stationed in Omagh, County Tyrone, N.Ireland in WW2 please? I need to trace the family of a soldier.

Hello Bryt,
The 8th Infantry HQ was situated in Lisnamallard House, behind Scotts Mills in the centre of Omagh. Also the HQ of the 552nd QM Railhead Company were billeted about 6 miles south of Omagh at Seskinore House, home of the McClintocks. They arrived in Seskinore in October 1943, they were mainly from New Yory and New Jersey areas.
