Salford Memorial
« on: Saturday 20 November 10 19:18 GMT (UK) »
hi

I am looking for a Salford War Memorial, which I am led to believe is in the
EUSDEN TEA ROOMS
CARK
CUMBRIA
ENGLAND

If anyone has a photo, or can get hold of one, I would be extremely grateful.

I am a Co-Founder of a New group called SWARM, Salford War Memorials, and we are trying to locate any that are no longer in Salford

Thanks
Debbie

Cark is in Grange Over Sands but there is no listing for a tea room of that name.  Could it now be known by another name?

How recent is your info?

Hi Debbie :) :) :)

I'm not on my own computer at the moment but I'll see what I have at home.  We used to holiday just near there, and my Mum and Auntie stayed near Cark in the 30's/40's.

Happy New Year!

Hi Debbie :)

Apologies.  I'm still trying to catch up on everything I answered or said I would do before I got properly back online.

No real success yet, but a bit of lateral thinking - or something!

Do you know who the memorial was for?  Was it for a certain group, which might give a clue to where it was or is?

I'll have another go, meantime.

Best wishes

Emms :)

Hi there. I am also researching a Shaw family in Manchester. Maybe we could exchange information? I'm specifically looking for information on my grandfather during WWI. Also, I've taken a look at your flickr page, and wondered if you're from Manchester and if you wouldn't mind visiting a cemetery for me to take photos of particular headstones? I would be grateful if you could get back to me, thanks so much. Amy.
