Could someone tell me if Ireland has a BDM index for the whole of the country please?

The information I have of the person whose record I need is very limited. I only know his name, his father's name, possible years of death, and a choice of two counties!! Hence my request for an index of deaths.

Many thanks...Seren

Yes but it is on microfilm, you can research at the General Register office in Dublin.

It is also available in the Family History centres of the Church of the Latter-day Saints. I think they do interlibrary loans if your not in Ireland, contact your local branch and ask them.

Thanks for the info. Sharon.

There's an LDS Family History Centre about 20 miles up the road from me, so I'll give them a ring on Monday.

Cheers
