« on: Saturday 04 December 10 11:39 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information regarding Andrew Boyle Park, he was born in Ecclefechan, Hoddam, Dumfriesshire 3/8/1893, the son of Robert Park and Elizabeth Logan Boyle.  He Joined the CEF on 21/5/1914, regiment no 427245, rank Sgt., occupation master baker.  I have him on a Canadian passenger list arriving in Halifax Nova Scotia 22/5/1919  and he died in Victoria, British Columbia 4/3/1977.  If anyone has any further information on andrew, ie marriage, children etc., I will be most grateful.

Thanks
Chris

Familysearch labs show the following

Death of Edith Mae Park 27 Aug 1978 at Courtenay, BC at age 80.  Widow of Andrew Boyle Park.  B. 13 Jun 1898 Defuriak Springs Florida d/o John Naef and Anna Corbett.

The 1919 sailing you referred to for Andrew shows his destination as Winnipeg although he is not resident there on the 1922 Winnipeg directory.

Our Roots has a number of local history books scanned and are a wonderful source for family histories.  Andrew and Edith were included in a book on Wilkie, Saskatchewan.  Be sure to go to the next page as it gives information about the daughter's families.  Apparently a brother James Park was also in Saskatchewan.

Debbie hope you don't think I'm being to cheeky, but is there any info on Andrews brother James he was b1890 Hoddom, Dumfriesshire.  the only info I have got for him is his birth and the 1901 census in Scotland.

There is a death for James Park s/o Robert Park and ___Boyle.  b. 23 Aug 1890 Scotland and d. 3 Jan 1964 Vancouver, BC @ 73 years.  Wife Agnes McVicar Fox.

There is an incoming passenger list arriving Quebec 15 Sep 1928 for the Regina.  On it was James Park, 37, married, b. Ecclesachan, Scot. returning to his wife Agnes in Unity Saskatchewan and giving father Robert of High Street Ecclesfchan, Lockerbie as his British contact.  It showed that he had been a resident of Canada from 1911 to 1928.  His occupation is merchant.

On the Saskatchewan Genealogy database there is a record of a burial in Unity in 1964.  Without joining you can't see details.  Perhaps he was buried back in Saskatchewan as that year of death agrees with the BC data.
