Why is Margaret Glass buried in Redcastle?
« on: Wednesday 08 December 10 09:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,
Would like your help to find the parents of John Glass who married Katherine Gray both of Kinkell U&LW 1780.
Margaret is his unmarried daughter and dies at the age of 70 in Wester Kinkell 1859.
On her death registration it states she was buried in Redcastle Burial Grounds.
She is the first of this family to have a death registration and the only one stating a burial ground.
All other deaths listed with Margaret are buried Urquhart Burial Ground.
Why would she be buried at Redcastle?
Since there is a possible birth for John in Kilcoy Killearnan Parish to Florence McKenzie and William Glass (Miller) could this be why she was buried there?
Or is it closer to Kinkell than Urquhart .... or another reason?
By the way William and Florence had their last registered child in Loggie ULW 1762. Would Kinkell be near Loggie? Is there a Mill there?
Thankful for all collective thoughts on this
Sandy
