Thank you .I received my grandfather's birth as a Christmas gift and have only just found out his mother's maiden Darton. So that is spot on thank you again .as I am a Goulding myself I am very excited to find out more more about the family from the west country.

This is the 1911 Census, for 26 Elliott Road, Plymouth (so the marriage in previous reply seems correct)

GOULDING

Eliza - 27 - Married 4 years, 2 children born above, 2 living - born Plymouth, Devon
Emily A - 2 - daughter - born ditto
Henrietta - under 1 month - born Plymouth
Lying May DARTON (as transcribed on Ancestry) - Visitor age 18 - born Plymouth, Devon

Link on the Family tree on Ancestry - also has UK Royal Navy Register (seems to have served during  Vivid I, Benbow, Gunner (Elizabeth) etc

Light Hair
Blue Eyes

That is spot on .Thank you .my grandfather was born in Plymouth. All of his family served in the royal navy and merchant navy .one of the served on a ship called the nlobe.the No one was then sold to Canada and I believe the Goulding who severd on the nlobestayed in Canada.thank you again for the reply .I am a member of the ancestry site. But not sure how beat to find an exciting tree

Assume you are trying to find family trees on Ancestry.

One way is to ....

On the page Search:

Put in say, Henry GOLDING and marriage to Eliza Maria DARTON - and then the first item is usually (Matching Person - from Family Tree) etc.

There is an Alfred Henry GOULDING - family on Ancestry (with a photograph of him)

etc etc
