According to the censuses the couple were living in Gwernafield, and Hugh Hughes says he was born Mold.

Hi,
On the NWBMD website it is listed as a Civil Marriage, you need the Certificate for the details.
Regards,
Megran.

Hi Silvery. Hope you don't mind me asking but which census did you find them on. I have Hugh with his parents on the 1851 but haven't found him since. Thanks for your help. I will have another look. Pam

A likely one is on this census for Wales   RG9/4268/12/25

for Hugh Hughes.  It says Cilsen, which is Cilcain, very close to both Gwernaffield and Mold.

Your best bet is to get the marriage cert (found in freebmd)

September quarter 1874
Holywell district, vol 11b page 371

with a Hugh Hughes and Louisa Petch in the two couples.

this will give you the names of the fathers and their occupations.

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp

register
page one, fill in and say YES you have register office index, which is name, year, quarter, district, vol, page
page two, delivery details
page three, fill in red-starred bits only.
