I did however notice that William F had "tchr" "h" beside his name. The other William had only "r" beside his. Could the "r" mean renting?

I would guess 'tchr' = teacher, 'h' possibly homeowner and 'r' means renting.

I found this on the 1916 Manitoba, Sask. and Alberta Census.

Apparently, "h" means householder (generally the owner) and "r" means resides (not the owner).

Looks like the William in Lansdowne is not the one

born Ontario, racial origin Irish, teacher

My William Baskerville was born on April 4, 1876 in Glasgow, Scotland.
