David Silcock -Census look up

Hi i am trying to find what happend to David Silcock b1839 son of Nathan & Alice Silcock from Kenyon ,Culcheth area.

Any help much appreciated.

1841 he seems to be with his parents, but is he the one in 1851 as a 12 year old with his Silcock grandparents?

There is a death in June Quarter 1889 that could be him

Aspull to Culcheth is 23 miles.....so it looks like Ruth has found David...the age is spot on....do you have a date of birth for David ?

possible death for Nathan Silcock - buried in Winwick (not hugely far from Culcheth) on 16 August 1843, aged 23 (familysearch).

I am wondering if David had Children , dose this show in the 1881  or other census ?

David  & his brother Nathan lived with the Grandparents when Nathan (snr) died 1843 & Alice their mother dies or disappears around the same time (i cant find a good match for her )

Any help please .

Hi Martin

I've gone through the census returns and found nothing for him - even with some interesting spellings of Silcock!

The only thing I can think of is that Alice married again rather than died when David was a child and David took his stepfather's name on an informal basis. 

Trouble is that is turning up a blank as well...   I found his brother Nathan easily but just not David

OK...IF...and it is only IF the David Silcock who died aged 50 in 1889 in Aspull is yours....there is a Submitted record for him saying he married Elizabeth around 1865...so the year is about right...this would make him 26...lets have a look...allan

BAD NEWS ...David Silcock who died in 1889 aged 50 ...parents Thomas Silcock and Margaret Phillips....so forget all in this post...but at least you can eliminate the David Silcock who died in 1889 Aspull...........so if we can`t find him in 1881 census...did he emigrate ?

My spouses dad is from Lancashire England and his name is David Silcock. 

** Edited to add; sorry I missed that you wrote when he was born!
