MI Abbey St. Bathans

Does someone have access who could look up Glazie?  I am quite sure the spelling should be Clazie.  Thank you.

Thank you and now I am confused.  I found the updated list from The borders Family History society website.  For the Glazie notation this seems to have a cd associated with it.  Is this list outdated?

Sharon

I recorded the MI for the Abbey and it was published on cd by the Borders FHS last year.  There is an Agnes Glazie buried there.

Margaret/Mamby might be interested to know that the spelling of the Clazie name gets more interesting.  The husband of Agnes Middlemist is shown in some early records as "George Claisye".

George & Agnes had 7 children, including 2 named William and 2 named James. (When an infant died, a later child was often given the same name, just to confuse us.)  I am descended from their 7th child, James Clezie, who was born at Edrington mill, christened 26 October 1766 at Mordington.  He later married Helen Kerr / Carr, in 1786, and we are puzzling over exactly where she came from.  Care to join the hunt for her origin?

Clezie (Clazie, Clezy, Clazy, Clazey, Claise, etc.), Lockhart, Heiser, Schwab, Tomon, Zarnowski, Megert, Iseli
