Can you give us a few more clues?

Is 1837 his year of birth?  Do you have details of his birth (parents etc)?

Do you have him in any censuses?

What town/county is Henry from?

I just checked the 1841 census and there are 19 Henry Crockfords - so we need a few more details about your Henry ...  :)

looking at the other thread 'life guard'- does that mean coastguard?

There is this census entry:

Coast Guard Station House, Warden, Kent

William Crockford 47 ys Coastguard Service b Chatham Kent
Aquila Crockford 54 ys b Kent Cliff
Aquela Crockford 15 ys Dressmaker b Ireland
Henry Crockford 13 ys b Ireland

It links (kind of) the other query with the year given 1837  :-\
but then again ...

he was born 1837 and married ellen ryan his son my geat grandad henry micheal was born1866

So is this your Henry as found by heywood?

Can you be a bit more precise about what you're looking for? Are you hoping to trace him further back from 1837, or forward through the censuses?

I have located the family on the 1871 census. Do you have this? Writing is fairly bad but I'm sure we can all pitch in and try to decipher if you'd like.
