.In some of my line I have one branch that has cousins marrying sevseral times, some so close I am surprised I don't have two heads ;D

Which area of the country George? In my mother's lines there is so much intermarriage that I am certainly my own 4th cousin, and possibly closer related to myself then that if I checked it out thoroughly? The serious import of the question is an attempt to obtain an idea of the extent of intermarriage across the wqhole of the UK to see whether it was the norm or the exception before the early 19th century.

These have appeared on my replies file, almost 2 years old. No replies shown. What has happened to the system?
