James Ramsay/Isabella Todd

Hi All,

I may be having a "senior" moment, but I can't find a record of marriage for this pair! I have a birth record for their son, John who was born in Saline in 1836.

I'm trying to make a connection between this family and Ramsay/Todds from Clackmannanshire.

Have tried SP but not coming up with anything - just wondered if anyone else out there has any information?

James Ramsay born April 30th1812 Clackmannan married Isobell Todd c 1834( source old parochial records Baptism Clackmannan daughter of John Todd and Helen Ramsay she was born 1804 May Clackmannan died 1872 James Ramsay parents were John Ramsay and Margaret Forbes

Thanks for the info! I have managed to find the record on Scotland's People. I note that they were cousins twice removed. I haven't looked at this branch of my tree for a wee while now, so this has rekindled my curiosity! James and Isabella were my Great grandparents x 3.

i haven't being doing much either on the Ramsay side Ihave gone back to William Ramsay and Helen Dewar married Clackmannan 1745 my 7x grandparents then their son James m
Margaret Taylor their son Robert m Margaret Todd their son James married Janet Rodger their daughter Mary Ramsay married Edward Todd in Clackmannan they came to NZ in 1855 Kate
