All 3 male members of the Lewis family of Gloucester cant be traced. (John, William J. and C.A) A cousin suggests that they may have travelled to USA as she finds a hint of William J Lewis 1863 Gloucester applying for American citizenship after 1900. We dont even know if he had married?
Can a rootschatter help?

Have you checked the free index at http://www.ancestorsonboard.com/HomePageController.action

What is the last (if any) census you have them on?

Have you checked the 1880 US census which is free to search at
