Hi

Does anyone have access to the full entry for a marriage in St Davids on 29 April 1815?

It is a marriage for Stephen Morris and Anne Jones retrieved from the family search site. i wondered if there might be a little more information on the full record (including which church!)

Many thanks for reading this.

Mrge Stephen Morris and Anne Jones

Stephen Morris otp a blacksmith and bach mrd Anne Jones otp by banns 29 Apr 1815 by Jno Jones Principle Curate. Both signed their names in the presence of Thomas Mortimer and U/R (possibly Rowland or Richard) Morris.

If you want a copy of the entry please send me an off forum email address by PM.

I had a very brief quick look 1790 to 1795 for baptism of Anne and Stephen at St David's without success, I just wonder if they are related to the Morris's of Dale or St Ishmael, but will leave you to decide.

There is no parish church at St David’s. As far as I am aware St David's is the only parish in Pembrokeshire that does not have a parish church and where the Cathedral is used for the purpose.

Fantastic thankyou I will send you my email.

Does this record therefore come from the cathedral?

Stephen was originally from Nevern, Anne from St Davids. I am trying without a great deal of success to establish who Stephen's parents were! He was born c1791 from later censuses.

Thankyou again

Yes, there is no other established church in the parish.

Stephen was originally from Nevern

I had an inkling that Stephen may have been a Nevern Morris but a, did not have time to look, and b, took the closest logical option which was undoubtable wrong.

Have you looked at the Nevern Morris wills at ;

Thankyou again, have had a look at the wills. There is a Stephen Morris (too early I think for mine, son of John and Esther Morris). There a few shared family names including Stephen and Caleb, so a possibility but no definitive answer from that source as yet.

I am very grateful for all of your help.
