Lewis family
« on: Wednesday 12 January 11 16:11 GMT (UK) »
Wonder if anybody is related to John and Mary Lewis of Newmarch Street/Orchard Street Llanfaes.  John was a mason.  His father before him was John Lewis a shoemaker and his mam Joan(nna) from Silver Street.  They had about seven sons, William who I think married Amy Hangest, John, Thomas, George, Howell, Frederick, Lewis and Rees.  Rees was my greatgrandad.  I would like to know if there are any Lewis relations out there in Llanfaes Brecon or surrounding areas.

Hello Llangatwg :)

Hopefully some long-lost cousins will see this post and get in touch with you soon.

In the meantime, do you need any census lookups or any other information about this family?

Here are some tips on finding living relatives:

Thank you for your post.  I have traced the family back to my gggrandparents.  I was hoping to meet the more recent members of the family so we could share info and photpgraphs.  I dont live in Brecon so it is awkward to find things out.  Cheers.
