There's a death in Bethnal Green for Esther E Higgins, aged 38, Jun 1866, 1c/173.

If this is the right Esther, William didn't waste any time in re-marrying, did he?

Just thinking that myself.  Obviously needed a wife to look after the household and the daughter.

Hi Jen & MaryA
Thank you so much , you have been such a big help,
I have been looking at free BMD & free Cen but not having a lot of luck,

Esther had family in Bethnal Green so every thing fits, &  Haphysbah Beale was her sister, your right about William not wasting any time in re-marrying, as they were both widowed it may have been to help each other out, I have come across this before.
Thank you again, I would never found the info without your help
