James TREBILCOCK 1807ish
« on: Thursday 13 January 11 20:03 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the parents of James TREBILCOCK born 1807ish who married Julia Odgers OATS in November 1828.

The 1851 census gives his place of birth as Madron.

LDS gives a christening on 31 Mar 1805 at Madron with father James TREBILCOCK and Cornish Parish Records has it as Penzance Parish.
Neither gives the mother.

Is there any where I could find this information?
Thanks

Not all baptisms prior to 1813 showed name of the other. Given that your James marries in & is living in Ludgvan in 1841, have you considered the older James Trebilcock in that parish.
1841 HO107/142/12 folio 8 pg 9 with possible wife Jone

1861 Newtown, Ludgvan RG9/ 1587 folio 92 pg 8
John Johns head mar 60 farmer b. Breage
Jane wife 59 b. Madron
Jane dau 22 b. Ludgvan
James Trebilcock father-in-law widower 80 ind b. Probus

Jane's baptism

& her marriage

James senior shows as a widower on the 1851, so this death reg looks a possibility
Joan Trebilcock dec qtr 1848 Penzance vol 5c pg 140
& her burial

Hope this is his wife and not a sister looking after him.

Thanks.  :)
I did have that birth of Jane as a possible sibling for James along with 10 Aug 1800 Jenifer and 23 May 1802 Elizabeth TREBILCOCK.

The death of Joan/Jane TREBILCOCK seems to fit with the 1841 James & Jane living in Church Town and the 1851 James living in Newtown.

Thanks
