Will have a look about for you cathay to see if I can find anything.

Waltham Cross is in Hertfordshire, so that's a good place to start searching.

Yep definitely not easy Smith and Loveridge.

I might have to have a chat with a couple of people who might be able to help.

thank you.i have a feeling that robert smith and sarah might have been his grandperants.i have found them in 1911 with a william gray and louise.but william is down as nephew.apparently although he married as a smith and buried as a smith he was born a gray!!!his father/grandfather known as robert/bob gray.very confusing.it look like he was born in hertfordshre but later lived on belvedere marshes.kent

Very confusing when people changed surnames lol, was thinking that Sarah Loveridge could have also used the name Parker.
Will also have to look at records for Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire as there was quite a lot of Grays that lived in those areas to.

Hello I am new on here and finding my round the site.
I am trying to find out a bit more about my Romany background.
My great grandmother was PHEOBE  RANSLEY born 1888 .
She married a WILLIAM STAVELEY. also born 1888.
They had 4 daughters. PHEOBE. PATIENCE
GENTY .TILLY.
It seems they go back to living around Kent.  Ended up in Sheerness.
Anyone know anything about the family name .
