Hi,

There seems to be a biography about him here, but it looks like you would have to pay £5 for a day pass. I've not used this site before so I don't know what you get for your money.

Have you looked to see if he left a Will? They are great for finding descendents.

Spidermonkey did a phenomenal job on the previous post on the Hill family www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,506170.0.html  ;)

From that, and Roland's obituary in the Times at the end of 1949, no mention at all was made of a possible marriage/children for Roland.

Not sure how you can move this on Fawlty Rover without perhaps checking his death cert or possible will as suggested  :-\ From the google searches made on Roland, nothing at all has come on regarding his personal life unfortunately.

As previously explained, I can't look up the 1911 census for you, but I can advise that it looks like Ellen H(iam) Hill, who was with her brother as a housekeeper in the 1901, by 1911 was back with her parents.

It may be therefore that her brother was already married by the 1911, and living with his wife - or perhaps abroad?
