Anne: I may have found William Morrison age 27 on the 1891 census living with his brother Robert age 25. They are both listed as farm servants. They were living at Old Farm House, Cornhill, Northumberland. They were both single. The census info is PRO RG12 Piece 4269 Folio  149 Page 3 schedule 11. Both of the brothers are listed as being born in Scotland.
Hope this helps
Rick

Hi Rick, thankyou again. You are probably right,William did have a brother named Robert, and William and Mary nee Crumlish married on 1st September 1891,my mam said that William was at least 10 years older than Mary but 7 years as it says on the census is good enough for me.The rest of the family must have been born in Chapel or Church Street because thats where my grandmothers brother William was born.On William and Marys marriage certificate it says place of residence for both William and Mary was Chapel Street Berwick,so they must have left there after they married and then moved back again.I know that John their son was killed in the 1st world war in either 1914 or 15 and then they were living at Wark on Tweed which i think is near Cornhill.Anyway Rick thankyou so much for the info, every little helps.Take care Anne.

Hi I see you mentioned 1 narrow lane Berwick. My great grandfather was born there 1916. I understand it was classed as the slums of Berwick. It's all been pulled down now. We went up Easter day to where it used to be (round about). His name John young.
We also have Clarkes on that line too.

John's mum was a Davidson and believed a lot if them lived in tweedmouth
