Andy,

There seems to be a batch of about a dozen men that transferred from the RGA to the AOC and were given consecutive AOC numbers.

Highly unlikely as according to your other thread and photograph he is still with the artillery and wearing a cap with an artillery badge in 1919..!

my grand father was in the RGA .. robert wilson
i believe it was the 355th siege battery.

any correlation ??

You say that you have a copy of the 355 diary.
I have been searching for this for some time for my wife as her grandfather served in this battery.
I hope you won't mind me asking where you got it from?
I know that the IWM have a copy of the The Record of 355 Siege Battery.
Is this the same as the diary that you have?

The poster hasn't been on here for 4 years so may not see this. However the record of the 355 SB is held at the IWM book store.

There are 4 diaries for the 23rd. Garrison Brigade covering the 2nd. half of the war:
