hi

yes but i do not know much,  her name was Florence moss b1888 loughborough leicestershire she married my gr grandfather Alfred bullock in 1909
and later had one child when she disappeared she left that child behind who was  given to an aunt i did find out that my gr grandfather remarried in 1934 to the same lady he had children with in the 1920 this i found strange why did he wait another 14 yrs to get wed also on his marrage cert he classed himself as a widower

 i have checked  the records for the workhouse and hospitals but no sign of her

Went off with another chap and changed her name to his?

As grandad didn't know where his wife was,he would have had to wait 7 years to have her legally pronounced as deceased before being able to marry again.

Have you searched under both her maiden and married surnames?

hi all

yes searched under moss and bullock names but nothing seems to come up and if Alfred could wait 7 yrs to wed why did  it take him another 15 yrs  to marry the same lady he had children with in the 1920' s he must have known something i have searched the workhouses to see if she was in there but no luck what could i try next.

hi

hope any one can help i am searching for my gr grandmother who disappeared after the 1911 census but i do not know what county she disappeared in i think it was loughborough but it could have been Bretby derbyshire how can i find this info out.
I have put a thread in before about her but her name was ---

Florence moss b1888
Alfred e bullock b1887 (her husband at the time)

There is no need to start yet another thread looking for information on Florence and Alfred- I've merged you latest post with the existing thread for Florence Moss. There have already been suggestions posted there.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
