Deciphering help

Just when I thought I was getting used to Matthew Lorimers handwriting he throws me a side ball.  Matthew Lorimer was the registrar in Annan Dumfrieshire for many years.  

Can anyone help with the text after John Scott's name (4th column 2nd row)- this is the place where they put occupation.  

I know John has been listed as a "Master Seaman" on numerous other records but other than that he is a mystery.

Hi: Do you think the first 3 words could be "Seaman Coasting trader" meaning a ship that travels only along the coast of , probably, UK. Is the 4th word "bicycles"

"Coasting Trader" looks very likely - thank you.
