Hi,

I am looking for any information regarding Edna. I know that she was born in Victoria (probably around Glenhuntly) in 1911 and was the dau of Chrstian Severin SORENSON and Margaret aka May LUDWIG. I have found Edna on electoral rolls prior to 1936 but nothing afterwards - no marriage, death etc. Any ideas???

ASHTON, EDGAR ALAN  joined the Australian Army in ww2 and shows a date of birth  11 May 1910 and a  Place of Birth SKILDA, VIC.
  
He enlisted on 10 Oct 1942 and was living atGLEN IRIS, VIC  
Next of Kin was EDNA ASHTON,  and Date of his Discharge 14 Nov 1944,

That is wonderful news. Obviously the BMD info I am looking at didn't have her marriage (don't know why as it's supposed to be the same as that found at libraries!). At least I am now much closer and might speak to Frankston Cemetery to see if they have any info.
