Who were the witnesses - help deciphering marriage record please COMPLETED
« on: Saturday 29 January 11 14:33 GMT (UK) »
I would be very grateful if anyone was able to decipher the names on the attached - they were the witnesses at the wedding of my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather at St James', Westminster in 1828.  The second name looks like Susan something, but I am not sure.

Many thanks for any help

I think you're right that it is Susan McEvoy............ and the other definitely Job  Somethingridge...........  I shall have a go through Ancestry with the various surnames and see if anything comes us.  I don't recognise it as a family name, so maybe just passers-by.................

Thank you all very much for helping.

I would guess Joel Paltridge,
& Susan McMoy or McNoy. The M on the Mc looks very similar to the first letter after it. ???
