COMPLETD - The death of George William GREEN
« on: Sunday 30 January 11 15:46 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for the death reg of George William Green

Born 1871 in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire

He was married to Ruth Archer in 1890 and I have census sheets for him up to 1901.  Once marriaged lived in Wilstone, Tring Hertfordshire up to 1891, then Shenley, Hertfordshire 1901.

Haven't been able to track him down in 1911.

I can only find a death reg for June 1903 age 32 in Kingston.

Can anyone help me out here please

Hmm, only having confirmed records of him up to 1901 when age 30, and with as common name, makes a difficult if not impossible task. He could have lived for 60 more years, and moved to anywhere in that time.

Do you know how many children he had and where they went? Is he described as 'deceased' on any of their marraiges? Do you know when/where Ruth died, and if so did he register her death?
If you can narrow down when he might have died, then you stand more chance of finding it.

Yes it doesn't help with is common name but hoped that he seems to use John William would help, but seems to have moved away!

I've found 4 children on the census'

Thomas William GREEN ARCHER (born before marriage) b 1888.
James J GREEN b 1891
Emily Elizabeth GREEN b1893
Ruth Betsy GREEN 1901 - 1902, All born in Hertfordshire.

Marriage Ruth Archer 13 Oct 1890 in Tring, Herts

Don't think this is going to be of much help!

Hi Laurina

That looks very possible.  I found him at last in 1911 with everyones help

They haven't moved far up until 1911.

I think his wife Ruth died 1943 in Hemel Hemstead.  She was born 1868 in Wilstone Tring, Herts.

Many thank again everyone

Karen
