Just in general really.  I've got as far back as Thomas Livermore 1819-1890.  There are some illegitimate children and I'm looking for baptisms etc.  Mary Ann Livermore had two children, Thomas (1862) and Emma (1871) born before she married John Green.  So, I'm trying to find out who their father is - if he's mentioned on their baptism record - before I end up spending just under £20 on certificates.  But, otherwise, bascially any information on the Livermores who lived in Newmarket Road would be great.  My husbands grandmother was a Livermore.

In 1871 living at Newmarket Rd, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge were
Thomas Livermore head marr 52 brickmaker
Sarah Livermore wife 54
Mary Ann Livermore dau unmarr 22
Richard Livermore son 12
Thomas Livermore grandson 4
Emma Livermore grand dau 1 mth
All born Cambridge

So Thomas the grandson appears to have been born 1866-7, not 1862, and may have been the one whose birth was registered in the Sept quarter 1865 in Cambridge. Is this Thomas in the direct line of your husband's grandmother?

Do you have them in censuses? If not I'll let you have details

In 1841 in St Andrew the Less were
John Livermore 50 Ag lab
Elizabeth Livermore 45
Harriet Livermore 25
Thomas Livermore 20
All born in Cambs

Cambs FHS Baptism Index at http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html shows a baptism in 1821 in St Andrew the Less, parents John and Elizabeth. This is the only Thomas in Cambridge.

Thanks David.
I do already have the census information and also that baptism.

I think I'm going to have to take a day off work and go to Cambridge to do some research!

I have Livermore's in my Smith family research too. I have Thomas Livermore who was the goldfields in Victoria Australia in the late mid to late 1800's. I also have farrington's too. I'm looking for someone how may be connected that may have photos etc.

Marg26 - we also have Farringtons connected in the Livermore tree.
Not sure of the connection with Australia as I don't have anyone that far back.  Worth a punt though.

Hi Lisa,
I would say that the Thomas Livermore here in Australia is the one born 1841 in the 1841 census parents were Thomas Livermore born 1821 and his wife Sarah Farrington. As he would have been related to my Robert Smith and Emma Farrington. They all lived in Newmarket Road Cambridge in the 1841 & 1851 census.
Robert & Emma emigrated to Sydney Australia in 1857. Do you have Smith's as well
Cheers
