Is it possible to date this photo, and what regiment Henry was in please.
All I know is he was born c1857 in Liverpool.

Can you get a larger scan of just the cap badge we maybe able to get his regiment....looks like a horse ? and possibly Kings (Liverpool )Regiment

c.1880 perhaps.
As much as anything else that's going on how young he looks.
He has one good conduct chevron in the photo which means he'd served a minimum of 2 years already when the photo was taken. And he's a lance-corporal.

That cap is post Boer War, so he cannot be someone born in 1857.
