It says on the Bloody Sunday trust site, Michael McDaid lived at Tyrconnell St, and worked as a barman at the Cetic Bar, regularly taking his family on runs to Donegal on Sundays.

news papers in Derry memorial notices from family 2008 and 2011 - from Derry, Strabane and England
so the family must have come from Strabane

Hi, so you found out that you're not a relative? If you still need any information you can message me; he's part of my family (my grandfathers brother).

I dont know whether anyone can help me with this.

I am trying to trace where in Donegal , Michael McDaid ( my family name) came from.  He was killed on Bloody Sunday(aged 20 and one of 12 children) , and records show him as coming from Donegal.

Thank you

Hi, My Uncle was the Michael McDaid killed on Bloody Sunday, he was brought up in Tyrconnell Street Derry, i am sure his father was from the Illies in donegal but i know the family spent most of their lives in Derry.
would love to chat
