I have information on the Hackett family of Hilton (parish of Marston) who it seems also had links to Wiltshire, Leicestershire as I have been looking into the history of my house!  If you are interested please PM me

This is exciting news. I have been researching this family for 30 years now and been stuck. I am cited on the Internet as an Author, "James Hugh Donohoe", if that helps you to identify me. The "Paracensus of Australia 1788-1828" is one of my works. My wife;s maiden name is Gailey and Anne Hackett Calvert was her great grandmother's maiden name. James.

My children descend from Anne Hackett who was born in Leicester in 1828. She married Thomas Haford  Calvert of Loughborough. Her mother was born in Ashby de la Zouche in about 1801-07, maiden surname unknown but maybe Atkinson. Anne Hacketts strongly claimed that Earl Ferrers of Staunton Harold (hanged for murder in 1740s) was her ancestor. A Hackett family lived next door. No link found either. Does that mean anything to fellow family ancestry researchers.
