So basically, the search on 1911 is no different from what anyone can do anyway??

That's correct, but I suppose there are lots of people new to researching their family history who may not know as much as we do.

One way of extending the free search is as follows.  Firstly search for one person preferably the member of the family with most unusual name.

Now using all the sparse details that that search reveals such as registration district do another search for just the surname but specifying as living with the person found in the first search.  For uncommon surnames living in small villages you can usually be confident that you have found a complete family.  For common surnames and large towns you may need to check by repeating the search for another person, preferably using one who is only listed once.

Basically searching with what you already know confirms it and will often add a lilltle more information.
