Thanx for taking a interest in my photo.. If there is someone eles in the Photo it could be one of there 5 children  :) I love the Thoery that it could be a Horse.. Somehow i don't think it could be as the Yard in the Photo was Only big enough to Fit the Tin Bath In..lol

The House that is in the photo Burnt down and my Grandad had to rescue the 5 Children in the Middle of the Night  :o

Thanx again Everyone

You will laugh now, but my first impression was that the object in the middle was a horse.  :-\

Hi Folks

deadants is right the important thing is the granparents and to salvage as much as possible of the obvious.

I knew other people would see different things so it was a interesting little test, we all see what I minds want us to see, we zoom in & out, clean up we lighten and darken. For me in this photo everything apart from the 2 people was a mess and needed cutting away.

Lesson learnt for me this time is dont assume something that could be wrong. If it can or needs chopping do it, it will make for a better cleaner photo.

Thanks Iria for this posting it's been great

Regards
Ken

Quite right Ken,

Funny thing is,I'm starting to think that Trystan is right about the horse!!

Looking again at the first image on this thread I reckon that I can see the back of it behind gran on the right,so maybe they did have a horse Iria, albeit a small one,I guess you'll never know for sure  :-\

Nice that Ken and Deadants were able to work with the image though and were able to highlight the most important bits!

I think this photo restoration topic is great,

Keep up the good work,best wishes,Mick ;)

Well it could for that matter be a cow. If they usually only carried small livestock, then taking on cattle would have been quite a big step I'd imagine.

I hope I've not added an illusion to your photograph.

I can definitely see a horse on this photo.

I think your granmother is standing in front of a gate or fence, and your grandfather is behind it.

I think there is someone on the horse, wearing lighter clothes, but the photo has missed their head off.

I don't think its particularly small (but its certainly not huge!) - its just got its head over the fence, leaning forward.

Thats my two pennorth, anyway!
