Canadian Passenger List:- Percy Woodbridge  - Age: 21  - abt 1888. Farm Hand. Liverpool to Halifax. Nova Scotia.  - Date of Arrival: 20 Mar 1909  - Vessel: Tunisian.
Canadian Passenger List:-  Percy Woodbridge. Born about 1887 and aged 21 years.  Port of Departure: Liverpool, England to Montreal. Quebec arriving 26 April 1908 on SS Corsican. Occupation:- Farmer. Going to Fenelon Falls. Com Paid C E G  K o xxx  ???

Two different ships confuse me a bit.  I've found Percy coming on the Tunisian and Mary coming on the Corsican with her family. My information is from FindMyPast, so perhaps there were two and one is not recorded there  ???

Uncle R J Edwards. 304 Burns Avenue. Hamilton. Ontario.

R J would be Mary's brother Richard J, who travelled with her and the rest of the family in 1908.

Thank you Sandra,
this information is wonderful,

Now I know where the Wilcox came from.  Ada was one of Mary's sisters.

Everything in the snippet about England is true other than the Oxford birthplaces.  Both father and son were born in Abingdon, Berkshire.

I've just looked at a map, and Abingdon and Oxford are actually only about 10km apart!!!

Yes also born in Abingdon, with birth registered in June qtr 1874.

It's interesting that they emigrated.  Their father seems to have been fairly successful, but the children have scattered.  Two siblings (that I know of so far) have ended up in Derby in 1891.  You'd have to wonder why.  Were things bad at home, or were they encouraged to travel?  We can only guess.
