Baptism: Catherine Connor
« on: Thursday 10 February 11 16:52 GMT (UK) »
Catherine Connor married Mark Mitchell 24 01 1867 at the Roman Catholic Chapel in Boyle, County Roscommon.  Father was Bartholemy Connor a labourer.  I am looking for her baptism but can find only one, on the Mormon's IGI, on 11 12 1841 at Sligo Drumcliff & Magherow, Roman Catholic.  Parents were Bartholomaeus Connor and Brigida Beirne.
The spellings of the father's forename are different as are the areas.
I would be very grateful if anyone can  please help point me in the right direction.

The church records would have been written in the Latin form thus Barthlomew is listed as Bartholomaeus and Bridget as Brigida.
However, not all church records for that period survive and not all surving church records are on LDS or other sites so don't assume you've found a correct record because child's name and age as well as father's name match.
Since you've already located the marriage certificate- what's the residence given for Catherine in 1867?

Thank you for your very speedy reply.  The only address listed on the marriage certificate is 'Boyle'.  Not a lot of help really.

Is 'Boyle' written under Catherine's address on the marriage certificate? if so, that's where she was living at the time of the marriage.

Do you hold the Civil marriage certificate or the church marriage certificate.

What were the names of witnesses to the marriage?

What were the names and birth order of Mark and Kate’s children?
